In general, cherry plants are fairly easy to grow, rustic and vigorous, they react well to any winter frosts. They are housed in places exposed to the sun (the direct absence of sunlight often causes lack of flowers); adult plants do not require particularly frequent watering: for this reason, Liguria is a region suitable for growing cherry trees. Cherries are harvested mainly in June.
As for this variety, it is imperative to periodically recede the suckers that grows at the base of the plant and that could damage its fruits.
The cherries of Castelbianco are mainly used for the production of jams and marmalades.
