Built in the eighteenth century to replace the previous one, erected in the sixteenth century, the church was designed by architect Sebastiano Boccaccio and preserves inside a rich decoration by Francesco De Lorenzi. Other valuable frescoes can also be found on the sides of the nave, together with numerous paintings by Luigi Gainotti, Bernardo Strozzi, Vittorio Amedeo Rapous and other artists. There are also wooden processional statues of the Our Lady of the Rosary and Saint Mary Magdalene, carved in the eighteenth century.
