The Paper Museum was inaugurated in 1997 as evidence of the ancient tradition of paper art, which has had so much importance for the economic and cultural development of the territory of Mele. The seat of the Centre is in the ancient Sbaraggia paper mill, inaugurated in 1756, and abandoned only in 1985!
A fascinating place that will take you back in time, discovering paper production processes, from textile fibres up to the production of reams similar to those we use every day!
The Paper Museum also organizes basic and advanced courses for adults, children and school groups: groups can learn how to produce sheets of paper by hand, how to bind notebooks and much more…
