Baptistery of Albenga

Early Christian antiquity, built in the 5th Century, it is the oldest existing Ligurian building and one of the best preserved baptistery in Italy, thanks to the many conservative restorations that have undergone over time. An external decagonal plant, octagonal inside, it features a polychrome mosaic decoration at the top and the archaeological remains of a baptismal diving bathtub below.
