The Aveto Park protects one of the pride of the Ligurian Apennines. The protected territory covers more than 3000 hectares and involves Val d’Aveto, Val Graveglia and Valle Sturla.
The Park includes the main peaks of this portion of Apennines, among which Mount Penna stands out with its characteristic profile and which with its 1735 m is the highest peak of the Park.
Thanks to its particular position, the Park offers in every season the possibility to practice different outdoor activities. The dense network of trails can be carried out on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback and, in winter, with snowshoes or cross-country skis.
But the Park is not just nature and sport: there are many ancient rural villages, religious and civil buildings, artifacts that are worth a visit, while a trip to the Park is always an opportunity to taste and appreciate the many tasty local products.
