The triathlon section of Polisportiva Maremola, for several years now, has organized the Olympic Triathlon of Pietra Ligure, every year, during the first week of June.
The race consists of one kilometre of swimming at sea, 16 km of mountain bike and 7 km of racing.
The kilometre of swimming takes place in the sea section in front of the village of Varigotti, with an Australian exit halfway.
Then, we take the mountain bike and start pedalling, following the road that crosses the track of the former railroad. After about 1 km we will reach the road that goes up to Isasco and we will continue until we get on the 24h of Finale Ligure’s race track, up to Bric dei Crovi. From here, it begins the descent along the 24h’s race Toboga, until we reach the Isasco road from where we descend to Varigotti.
For the third part, the running race, we go up on the promontory of Varigotti to the Church of San Lorenzo; we continue on the panoramic path of the Pilgrim, intercepting the 24h MTB race path of Finale Ligure, then we return to Varigotti through the route of the Balcony Above the Sea.
