Each year, in Toirano, this is one of the most anticipated events of the summer: the Festival of Gumbi. Not a village festival with music and good food, but a real Ligurian summer event, a meeting place and entertainment for all ages.
Organized by the Festival of Gumbi’s Committee, with the patronage of the Municipality of Toirano, the festival takes place in four days: from the early afternoon the event features the market exhibition of agricultural and handicraft products and the Mills’ Feast.
Then, for dinner, the streets of Toirano’s old town will be filled and filled with people ready to taste local specialties such as panizza, michettin, sbirulini, battered vegetables, Pigato peaches and much more.
In the village, to make the festivity even more typical and cheerful, there are stalls and artists who play and dance, entertaining the passers-by.
