Today’s building, erected in the 18th Century in Baroque style, has an important triptych of the sixteenth Century by Giovanni Barbagelata. Inside, every year, there is an important event that recalls the landing of pirates at Ceriale, marching towards Albenga, with the intention of plundering it, but they did not succeed because they were blocked by a glow that was attributed to a miraculous intervention by Our Lady who came to the rescue of the Albenga people.
