Built on the top of a hill, overlooking the village from the top.
The primary quadrangular plant with towers was wanted by the Marquis of Clavesana in the tenth Century. It became the seat of the Del Carretto family in the 14th Century. It suffered major damage during the siege by the Republic of Genoa’s soldiers in the 1700s. Subsequently, the castle became property of the Balestrino family until it arrived to the Marquis Del Conte, which made it possible to begin a new restoration on the building.
