The Natural Heritage Reserve of Adelasia, established in 1989, extends over 500 hectares in the upper and most intact part of the Ferranietta Stream basin. The territory is characterized by majestic beech woods. There are three ring paths to capture the most important naturalistic aspects of the Reserve, all its nuances, in this alpine corner embedded in the Ligurian appennine.
One of the ring paths, easy to carry out in about 2 hours, is ideal for a sunny afternoon, immersed in nature.
Leave the car in the parking lot, take the lower left path, which initially descends.
Along the way you will find some springs, until you reach Rocca di Adelasia. Going up a little further, you actually get to the Rock, which you can “climb” to have a more elevated view of the wonderful panorama that raises among the fronds. Walking again, you reach the highest point of the path, at 840 m.
We continue in the woods, until we arrive at Cascina Miera, an unattended refuge where we may stay. It has 10 beds with heating, kitchen use and a 10 seat table.
The shelter also has a small open-air corner, equipped only with benches and fireplaces.
