Departing from the parish church of Erli, take the path to the left of the church, direction of Cerisola. Continue in the village, go to the right of the little church of Madonna della Neve (Our Lady of the Snow), continue uphill and then take a crossroad on the left and pass under the porch of the last houses, here the trail starts.
Continue along the dirt road until you find the sign that leads, from here onwards, the trail: a red ball with a mark cutting it horizontally, leading up to Mount Alpe Est. Once on the road, take the cross road and cross the Neva River on a small bridge and then get into the woods.
Always follow the signs, cross the olive groves and get on a road that continues towards Zuccarello, then take the path again on the right.
It goes up on the ridge exposed to the east and then it deviates diagonally into the woods toward Cerisola until it arrives on the meadows before the hill between the Alpe Est and Ovest.
Pay attention, when you exit the forest, to find the trail-sign in the grass, do not take the signed crossroad on the left for Rocca, but continue uphill in the meadows until you reach the hill on the ridge between Val Pennavaire and Val Neva .
When you reach the pass continue to the left along the ridge to trace the meadows until you reach the top of the Alpe Est at 1055 meters of altitude.
