Located on the top of the village, the parish church of Saint Michael was built on a pre-existing nucleus during the medieval period by Giorgio De Lancia from Como, with a basilica plan with three naves, renovated before in modern and then contemporary times. The façade, made of black double-sloped stone blocks, is embellished with a pseudo-prothyrum gate with a statue of Saint Michael and the dragon positioned in a lunette niche, the first work signed by Giovanni Gagini in 1450, all surmounted by a large marble rose window, closed by a rare contemporary glass window depicting the apostles. The bell tower, with a square plan, with a double series of mullioned windows and a pyramidal cusp, belongs to the classical typologies present in the high maritime valleys. The interior, restored in 1965, after the restoration has restored the ancient appearance characterized by tall black stone columns that support particularly slender acute arches, The presbytery is closed by the large Saint Michael polyptych, with 36 compartments composed by the late artistic maturity of Giovanni Canavesio.
