Another rather demanding excursion is the one that connects the villages of Apricale and Perinaldo, another small village in Val Nevia. Just after the pharmacy of Apricale, on the left, the a trail starts (red-white trail sign). It descends towards the ruins of the ancient oil mill and the stone bridge that crosses Merdanzo stream. After the bridge, follow the signed trail of the old mule track in direction of Perinaldo. After about one hour and a half of rise in the woods (about 300 m), you reach the historical centre of Perinaldo, which offers its guests a spectacular panoramic view of the sea. To return to Apricale follow the same trail.
