Snorkelling provides all those who have a good relationship with the sea the opportunity to observe underwater life in a natural environment without the need of a specific course and special equipment: in fact, it is just a mask with mouthpiece, fins and, if necessary, a wetsuit . In the area between Noli and Pietra Ligure, there are large stretches of coastline perfect for snorkelling, thanks to the presence of fossil beaches, geological formations of high naturalistic interest, which are commonly found throughout the Mediterranean Sea basin.
With regard to diving, all departures take place from the port of Capo San Donato of Finale Ligure, where all the equipment needed to safely live the diving experience (cylinders, wetsuits, etc.) are available.
From here you can reach stunning diving spots on the submerged promontories of Secca Marassi, a large flat monolith, at about 24 meters of depth, with rocky walls, sinking vertically down to the sandy bottom, located at about 34 meters, forming two beautiful caves where it is not unusual to meet lobsters, and Secca delle Stelle (Stars’ Beach), a beautiful photographic dive where you can admire sea daisies, octopus, damselfish and starfish, after which it is named.
