Vegetables of cylindrical shape, curved in the final part, whose shape resembles a trumpet.
Harvesting takes place between May and September, about a week after flowering, once they reach the length of about 30-40 cm. Their shape also makes them a characteristic decorative element of the gardens of the Ligurian Riviera.
With a sweet and delicate taste, the trumpet cougrette are cooked in a saucepan with added tomatoes, or just with onion. It is also used as an ingredient for seasoning foods such as omelettes or salty cakes.
